Breaking news – time for action

Now we are safely back at Alert Level 1 and training is back to normal, Skills (our standards setting body) have looked at the changes they made to first aid guidance during earlier stages of the COVID-19 response.

Grace period for First Aid Refresher reverts to 3 months on 1 August 2020

On 25 March they extended the grace period for first aid certificates refreshers, from 3 months to 5 months, effective from that date.

They have today given notice that the grace period will revert back to 3 months on 1 August 2020.

This means that anyone who was due to do a first aid refresher in the first half of 2020 and has not yet done so, should pay close attention to when their grace period will expire. So, if someone was due to do their refresher around the time of lockdown, they need to book their refresher training with us in the near future to save their certificate expiring and having to attend the full course.

Either book online at www.cpr.co.nz or ring 0800 493 559 for your space prior to 1st August
